What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Volta Ghent is praised for its vibrant contemporary art selection and engaging atmosphere, with many visitors appreciating the opportunity to interact with galleries and artists. While the external appearance might seem understated, the interior experience is consistently described as great, with delicious and beautifully presented food. A minor point of contention for some was the handling of last-minute cancellations regarding payment.
"Team dinner@Volta was a true hit. The outside looks a bit cheap but once inside it's a great experience. We got a separate room with a view on the restaurant and a 'private' waiter who was really kind, relaxed and flexible. Food very nice, varied and served beautifully. Portions more than enough.
A bit an anticlimax they made us pay for 4 extra people who - I admit - cancelled last minute, but paying > 320 € is was a bit exaggerated to cover the costs... Besides this issue, we absolutely had a great evening, especially as the chef also came by to show the Callebaut chocolate he is proudly using :) Thank you, Volta team!"

"The service was outstanding—friendly, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. Our server took the time to explain the menu and made excellent wine recommendations to pair with our meal.
We started with a shared appetizer of roasted vegetables, which were perfectly charred and seasoned—simple yet packed with flavor. For the main course, I had the grilled octopus, which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My partner went for the beef steak, and it was perfectly seared, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The sides were just as impressive, with standout dishes like their truffle mashed potatoes and a fresh green salad that added a nice, refreshing contrast.
To finish, we shared a dessert of dark chocolate mousse, which was rich, velvety, and indulgent—the perfect end to the meal."
