"I visited many thermal spas in Belgium. This is one of the most amazing. It’s perfectly located within a nature. You absolutely have a great opportunity to disconnect, to relax and forget about the world.
There are several saunas, and every hour sessions with person „master of ceremony” in different locations. Some of them are included in the price, some require extra payment.
I tried music relaxation session and clay session. Both recommend. The most amazing one was the Egyptian ancient ceremony.
Also nice restaurant with a great choices of salads. When planning to visit the place, allow for the whole day.
It’s also very clean and nicely decorated."

"We were staying in the Centre Parcs next to here. My wife booked a day here for the two of us, on a Wednesday, a swimsuit day. I also came by myself for an evening on a non-swimsuit day. We've both been to various different spas in different countries. This one is a little 'interesting'! The building is quite stark. I wouldn't call it impressive. It lacks any sort of warmth or practical characteristics.
Check in was quite straightforward. You pay a bit extra if you need to hire towels and a robe, and they will sell you some flip-flops if you need some. I should say it's best to book ahead and that includes any treatments. It was quite perfunctory, not welcoming.
The layout is just odd, and makes no sense at all. You climb some steep steps to enter the reception and then descend 2 flights of stairs to the changing rooms. Outside the changing rooms are two tv screens that are pretty much the only source of information and times of events, which is not very convenient for anyone except the staff. Then you exit through the showers it seems to access the first 3 saunas, which are at different temperatures. Then you can exit outside to the terrace. The terrace is nice on a sunny day. There are sunbeds and deck chairs laid out. There are a couple of pools and more saunas in various buildings - all with big windows. The sunset sauna has a great view out over the lake, and then an interesting shower system 🤔. There's a relaxation room. There's also a twin hot/cold plunge pool.
One thing that this place lacks is plunge pools near the saunas, so you can't do the Nordic/Finish thing, except for some bucket showers.
The restaurant seemed ok, we just had a little something, but a bit limited and expensive as is often the case. Service was OK. It was a sunny day so it was quite busy.
We only heard one phone go off during the day, so one person had sneaked theirs in!
I came back myself for an evening visit to use the saunas after a few days of wakeboarding. It was a naked day ('discrete nudity' - no 😂) but that doesn't bother me. There were a few couples canoodling in the pool and other places, but nothing bad. Mostly it was couples just relaxing - but it was definitely quieter (I think swimsuit days make it busier). The website says to wear your robe outside of the saunas etc, but many people just used their towels or just walked naked.
There are various statues from different faiths/myths dotted around that are a bit odd - there is no conceptual theme as such, just random stuff of mediocre quality apart from a few bits.
Overall what makes this place good is two things, the location is beautiful and the saunas are at the temperatures as stated. The layout of the building is just weird - I would have sacked the architect, I suspect he has a brother in the staircase industry 🤔😂.
What detracts is the lack of information, and the weird layout, and I would say it's a little expensive for what it is.
You don't need money or cards inside - you pay with your wrist band and then settle up on the way out. The receptionists won't let you out until they have checked for any balance on your wristband 😂. Oh, and the return place for the towels and robes is upstairs in reception - again, just odd!"

The Architecture and Ambiance
Despite the overall positive feedback on the ambiance, one reviewer noted that the building's layout felt odd and lacked warmth, suggesting the architect might have missed the mark on practical characteristics. However, this seems to be an outlier opinion, as the prevailing sentiment highlights the impeccable cleanliness and beautiful design that contribute to a truly zen experience. The integration with nature is also a key element, with many saunas and pools offering great views.
For those seeking a visually stunning and tranquil environment, Elaisa Wellness delivers. The meticulous attention to detail in its construction and decor creates an immersive escape from the everyday. It's a place where the architecture itself becomes part of the wellness journey, fostering a profound sense of peace and inspiration.
Aufguss and Special Sessions
Beyond the standard Aufguss, Elaisa offers unique special sessions and rituals that provide unforgettable experiences. Visitors have raved about the Egyptian ancient ceremony and the music relaxation session, with both being highly recommended. The spa also hosts events like the Celtic Moon Rituals, a 2.5-hour session that guests have described as unique and deeply grateful for.
These specialized offerings elevate the spa experience beyond simple relaxation, providing opportunities for deeper connection and rejuvenation. It's worth noting that while some Aufguss sessions are included in the general admission, others, particularly the more elaborate rituals, may require extra payment. Booking these in advance is crucial due to their popularity.
Navigating the Spa Layout
To help navigate, it's strongly advised to ask for a map and the sauna routes booklet at reception. This will significantly aid in figuring out your way around the various saunas, pools, and relaxation areas. The information screens displaying event times are also noted as being not very convenient for guests.
Despite the initial confusion some may experience, the location is beautiful, and the saunas are consistently at the temperatures stated. The outdoor terrace, pools, and the sunset sauna with its lake view are particular highlights that make exploring the grounds worthwhile.
