What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Nuetnigenough is celebrated for its authentic Belgian cuisine, particularly the delicious Flemish Beef Stew, and its charming Art Nouveau ambiance. While many praise the friendly service and traditional flavors, some recent reviews mention rising prices and a perceived dip in food quality compared to previous years. The popularity of the restaurant means reservations are highly recommended.
"Very nice local restaurant and we came here to try the Flemish Beef Stew. It tasted so good. The beef was soft and well cooked, the sauce was thick and goes well with the bread that they served. Ordered Stoemp side which is mashed potatoes and vegetables for my beef stew. The taste is not overwhelming which complements with the heavily flavoured beef. Ordered a local made in Belgium Coke Zero! First time trying that and it tasted a bit different from the usual Coke Zero. It's nicer and less sweet. We also ordered fried smells. The little fish was fried really crispy and so good to go with the garlic sauce. My friend ordered a Beef Chuck and he said it was delicious too! The lady waitress was not that friendly compared to the male waitress who served us. He was helpful, attentive and really approachable. The place is a small outfit so do try to make a reservation. We were lucky to get to dine in without reservation."

"I had an amazing experience dining at this traditional Brussels restaurant. I chose the classic Flemish beef stew, and it was absolutely delicious, hearty, and full of authentic flavour. I finished with a lemon sorbet, which was the perfect refreshing ending to the meal. Yum!
The service was quick and friendly, and what really surprised me was just how popular the place is. People were queuing outside in the cold waiting for a table. I felt very lucky to walk in and be seated right away.
The staff deserve a special mention: they seem to speak every language you can think of, making everyone feel welcome and at ease. Their warmth and efficiency really added to the experience.
Overall, this restaurant truly deserves five stars for the food, the atmosphere, and especially the wonderful service. A fantastic taste of traditional Brussels!"

"We tried the Meatloaf, Meatballs, and Flemish beef at Nüetnigenough. Each dish had its own distinct and memorable flavor, and we really enjoyed the taste. What we found lacking, though, was variety in the ingredients, something we’re more used to in Canada.
On the other hand, our waitress seemed quite irritable, which made us uncomfortable asking for anything."
