Guests generally praise the DoubleTree by Hilton Brussels City for its excellent central location, friendly staff, and the signature warm cookie welcome. "Beautiful hotel and perfect location! Located less than 30 mins from the airport and was just a 15 min walk to the centre where the Christmas market was, also really close by to lots of cafes and restaurants as well as the cathedral. The hotel service was fantastic and we got a nice warm cookie on arrival which was lovely. The rooms were amazing and so clean. We didn’t have breakfast or any food at the hotel so can’t comment on that but we were very impressed and had a great time here."

"Stay for 4 days 3 nights. Have been staying under Hilton honor around the world. This is the worst service experienced. To be honest, the lady at reception gave us 2 cookies for check in which felt heart warming. However during the last day of stay, we went in for the breakfast, got the notification from bank of an extra charge for 30€ without being told what it is for. I went to the counter and been told that our booking is for one person so there is an extra charge for one pax for the breakfast. Of course we have to pay if we eat. But i just curious and confront with the reception staff that they should at least inform us at the entrance that there will be an extra charge. You can’t just charge the client with any hidden cost without informing, just like if you want to charge hot water for 10€ per litre, you have to tell beforehand instead of charging €1000 without anyone knowing. Especially when we have been told that breakfast is included in our booking when we checked in. At the end the staff told us basically it is our fault not to know breakfast is not included and it is not his responsibility, if we want to blame then we have to go to the staff who didn’t tell us about the information before we go in. I used a very gentle word to describe the whole situation but the reality is that I’m a young lady, trying to figure out why we got extra charge and the service/ the attitude I got made is completely uncomfortable and my hand was shaking when he raised his voice, keep emphasising me on showing him the booking and not answering to my doubt, I have to keep repeating the same questions, and gave up at the end.
This review is not to blame any party but hoping that Hilton can listen more to your client instead of defending yourself first. We never aim to blame but to ask to be informed if there is any extra charge. Imaging if this happens anywhere, you will get a crazy bill after the travel end."

"We had an overall positive experience at this hotel.
The location is very convenient – just 5-6 min walk from Brussels-North rail station if one wishes to travel to other cities and within walking distance to the city centre. The hotel itself is modern and clean, with thoughtful touches like reusable bottles for guests to fill up with water (free brita filtered water on every floor). The breakfast is a highlight: generous, fresh, and varied, with plenty of options to start the day right. Reception staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and supportive (upon check-in we were sent a message from reception on whatsapp to ask if everything was ok with the room).
On the downside, the surrounding area does not always feel the most safe, especially at night (plenty of homeless, delulu drug users and agressive looking guys hang around rogier). We made sure to return to brussels north train station before 8pm at night and to stay on busy well-lit streets when walking towards the centre at night. Inside the hotel, noise insulation could be improved – I could hear both street traffic (ambulances and police around the clock) and sounds from the rooms above when people were walking. Another drawback was the shower floor, which was surprisingly slippery and could feel unsafe.
Overall, we had a comfortable stay in this well-maintained hotel and enjoyed the excellent service. A few improvements could make the stay even better."
