What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bouillon offers a captivating medieval experience centered around its impressive castle and picturesque river setting. Visitors praise the historical ambiance and scenic beauty, though some note that dining can be a mixed bag with prices sometimes not matching expectations. Service quality can also vary, especially during peak times.
"It is a good place for dinner and lunch. Place has a warm interior with close seatings like any bouillon in france. Servers were also kind and helping even though restaurant is working full capacity. However, food wise it was not exceptional. Rum baba was okay but definitely not good as it is priced around 9-10 euros with a small hint of rhum. Crème Brûlée was very good it also had a little bit of sour orange touch which made it exceptional(5 stars for crème brûlée). Their house wine was okay. However, steak frites was not that good. Don't get me wrong it was okay but it is not worth it when it's price is almost 30 euros, you don't get the feeling of "I finished a good and satisfactory main course" when you're finished with the steak& frites. So in total i think 4 star out of 5 would be fair for overall experience."

"Came here for dinner twice, and made sure our impression.
The food is quite good, good prices, tasty and delicious.
The service, terrible, bad organisation, late delivery of food, A waitress brought wrongly our drink to 4 tables before she arrived to us. Bad communication.
The place is very packed, they try to get as max profit as possible per space but come on, a place with this reputation should give more quality of service.
The first time there we didn’t have any reservation and they placed us upstairs, the second, we had and they just packed us in a very small space table.
If you want some proper food in Brussels just avoid to come here, or come without any expectation, they will disappoint you."
