"It can be very important, historically, but now, also with the UNESCO's money, they did nothing.The area is just fenced to avoid some garbage, but more the mounds, there is nothing, no path, no map, not a board. I went to the royal tombs in the town and the situation is not so much better. Just the mound 1 has some explanation and you can enter, but mainly, they are just fenced."

Bahrain was an important place in antiquity is evident from the “17 royal mound” constructed nearly 4000 years ago in A’ali, the most impressive of which is “royal mound no. 8”. At 12m high and 50m across, and housing five separate chambers, it still commands the regal awe it originally inspired. There are other small burial mounds in A’ali and Hamad Town.
