"Open, paved, calm area in the mornings. Of course, several different fountains with intriguing designs. I'm impressed how clean everything is!"
Vincent Oliver
"This Fountain Square is a really great place with lots of restaurants surrounding and obviously lots of fountains. As we were staying in a hotel quite close, we had a number of walks around the square and dinner overlooking it. It certainly is a very vibrant place in the downtown area of Baku. It was formerly known as Parapet and is famous for its numerous fountains, which were first built during the Soviet era. It is surrounded by many boutiques, restaurants, cafes & shops. And it is also a pedestrian only which makes walking around quite attractive. It is deceptively big stretching over a number of streets."
Ross Daniels
"Love this place. The fountains at night are magical. The whole area is a nightlife in itself. Vibrant and buzzing. I never felt unsafe and I love it."
