What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bilgah Beach offers beautiful Caspian Sea views and good recreational facilities like pools and a water park, making it appealing for families. However, some guests have experienced issues with inconsistent WiFi, limited breakfast variety, and occasional service disruptions, leading to mixed reviews regarding the hotel's overall value and 5-star claims.
"The location is wrong. Do not come here. They are fleecing people showing city center but it’s actually another beach location 45 mins from the city center opposite direction from the airport. They pretend upon arrival they are unaware of this issue and further charge you city tax etc. just avoid. Heard of the Baku negative culture, now experienced it immediately upon arriving. Really disappointed and shocked how they are trying to make money from vulnerable tourists. This needs a serious investigation and a police complaint."

"We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights as we read the name Jumeirah so thought it would be lovely.
But the stay at the hotel was nothing but disappointment 😞....
The hotel had a perpetual wifi problem. Hardly any wifi in the room!
The breakfast was pathetic as only eggs and sausages and no variety for vegetarian.
And to top all of this the hotel had no water on day 3!!!! Literally no water in bathrooms, toilets etc. And it took them 5 to 6 hours to fix it!!!!
And my children had so much of problems that they didn't even bother to give them another bathroom to use!
Never coming here again !!"

"Overnight stay at Bilgah Beach hotel. The pool area is very good (sun and shade) pools for adults and children. The water park is 100 metres walk away. The view from bedroom was fantastic with beautiful sunrise. We had dinner in The Terrace (was Scalini until 2023 same chef/staff) the food was excellent and the staff very attentive. A lovely breakfast in Uzuk included a very full Meze tray and eggs to order. Have been to the Cali beach bar on a previous trip with its gorgeous setting by the sea with good food. The missing star is because of the cold from the aircon all over the hotel and restaurants making it uncomfortable and costing a fortune. Be warned cover your shoulders!! Overall a great stay"

When planning your visit, consider that breakfast options might be limited for picky eaters or vegetarians, so you might want to supplement with snacks. Also, be mindful of the strong air conditioning indoors, so pack extra layers for the little ones. While the hotel aims for a 5-star experience, be prepared for potential minor hiccups like WiFi issues, but the overall fun factor for kids is high. :familychild: :swimmer: :icecream:

Navigating Bilgah Beach: Beyond the Postcard
When considering a stay at the Bilgah Beach Hotel, it's wise to manage expectations. While it's a 5-star property, guest experiences have varied. Common points of concern include unreliable WiFi, a breakfast selection that may lack variety for vegetarians, and, in some cases, significant disruptions like a temporary lack of water supply. These issues, though not universal, suggest that potential visitors should be prepared for a less-than-perfect stay and perhaps have backup plans for connectivity or dining.
Despite these potential drawbacks, Bilgah Beach offers undeniable charm, particularly its stunning Caspian Sea vistas. The hotel boasts excellent pool facilities and a water park, making it an attractive option for families seeking recreation. The Terrace restaurant has also received praise for its quality food and attentive service, offering a pleasant dining experience. For those who prioritize seaside views and resort-style amenities, Bilgah Beach can still be a rewarding destination, provided they approach it with informed expectations and a clear understanding of its logistical nuances.
The Bilgah Beach Hotel Experience: What to Expect
Dining at the hotel is a mixed bag. The Terrace restaurant, formerly Scalini, is frequently commended for its excellent cuisine and highly attentive staff, with specific praise for its meze platters and made-to-order eggs. However, the breakfast spread has been noted as lacking variety, particularly for vegetarian guests. Another point of contention for some guests has been the hotel's air conditioning, which can be excessively cold throughout the property, including restaurants, leading to discomfort and a need for extra layers.
Beyond the amenities, practical aspects like WiFi service have been a recurring issue, with guests reporting poor connectivity in their rooms. Furthermore, isolated incidents of significant service disruptions, such as a temporary lack of water, have been reported, impacting the overall guest experience. While the hotel offers a beautiful setting and good recreational facilities, potential guests should be aware of these service inconsistencies and consider them when planning their stay.
