Reviews Summary
The Sunliner Serfaus is a convenient link for summer activities and ski connections, praised for its utility. However, its strict closing times are a major point of contention, with many visitors reporting being denied entry shortly before closure, causing significant stress and inconvenience.
"Today I was there at 16.59 after a boiling hot day. We arrived indeed just on time. But they didn't let us go down till serfaus with the Sunliner. My half of the family was allready on it...
We had luck that the waldbahn did accept us. (Altough they also close at 17.00)
We took the Waldbahn. Waited 20 min for the blue line. Walked home till Dorfbahnstrasse end cause the U bahn was allready closed...
If they would let us in. My family woukdnt be worried for over an hour. And we would be home 17.15 as we live next to the sunliner.
Is serfaus indeed geust friendly?????"

Navigating the Sunliner Schedule
Key Takeaway: Always aim to be at the Sunliner station at least 30-45 minutes before its scheduled closing time to avoid disappointment. This proactive approach will ensure a smoother experience and prevent the anxiety of being left behind.
Understanding the Closing Policy
The strict adherence to closing times, while ensuring operational efficiency for staff, can be a point of frustration for guests. The experience of being turned away after a long day, especially when other transport options might also be closing, highlights the importance of thorough planning.
Alternative Transport Options
Another option is the Dorfbahn, but its operating hours can also be restrictive, sometimes closing early. If both the Sunliner and Dorfbahn are closed, visitors might face a considerable walk back to their accommodation, particularly if they live near the Dorfbahnstrasse end. Having a backup plan that accounts for these possibilities can save a lot of hassle and ensure you can still enjoy your time in Serfaus.
Pro Tip: Familiarize yourself with the routes and potential closing times of all local transport options before your trip. This foresight will make navigating Serfaus much easier, regardless of the Sunliner's availability.
