What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Furgler 3004m is a highly rewarding alpine peak offering stunning panoramic views. Hikers praise the challenging yet achievable climb, especially the scenic routes via Furglersee and Tieftalsee lakes. Some note the need for caution on steep snowfields and the importance of proper gear.
"Fine 3000+ alpine peak above Serfaus. I ascended from Kamperdell via the Furglersee lake and Furglerjoch in early July and saw noone. Large steep snow fields on ascent to Furglerjoch means care is needed. Final ascent is well marked but requires some sure footedness in the mountains. There is one cabelled section for security. Late snow meant final metres to summit were on knife-edge cornice. All together a fine climb. Descent via Tiiefeltsee lake is more measured but still had snow fields."

"The hike up the Furgler mountain top is certainly doable, but don’t underestimate it. The effort is rewarded with stunning views in all directions. Sturdy hiking boots are recommended and pack an extra layer of clothing as it can be cold or windy high up. The decent on the side of the Furglersee is definitely more challenging than on the side of the Tieftalsee, so choose wisely."
