Reviews Summary

The Museum der Moderne Rupertinum offers a unique artistic experience with its modern graphics and photography, set against a striking Hundertwasser-decorated baroque facade. While the art is appreciated, some visitors found the ticket price steep and were negatively impacted by unclear elevator fees and unwelcoming staff interactions.

"⛔️ CAUTION TO ALL TOURISTS! Do not take the elevator down from the museum as it 3.2 euros per pax!!! The counter ticket lady with specs (seen in this pic) was 100% racist and superrr arrogant. She had such an attitude chiding us about their "rules" on taking the elevator.

Very weird btw, the elevator button is bigger than their prices and in no way self explanatory.

They could better
1) Caution about the price to take the lift down
2) Not have such a despicable attitude towards paying patrons

Absolutely RUINED our day at salzburg. Such a shame she is someone customer facing."

"This review is only about the one downtown, also known as the Rupertinum. They have an interesting exhibition of Daguerreotypes, showing many old pictures of people and of Salzburg as it was long ago. What struck me most, though, was the Hundertwasser decoration on the facade of the building. An unexpected and daring combination with the baroque building."

Marinus WS

"Built to the side of the cliff, the entrance is quite interesting to go into the mountain. Though not the biggest art museum, the scale is not too bad and adequate to see variety of exhibits. Well curated shows."
