"Hello, I would like to tell you about a bad experience I had on a cruise on your boat from Durnstein to Melk. We were told on shore that they would not sell us tickets and that we should buy them on the ship. I was travelling with three children (6, 10, 11 years old) and we all had bikes. When we bought the tickets, the man selling them didn't say a word to us about having to get off the boat along the way and then transfer to another boat. So the kids and I sat in the very back of the boat where the engines were very loud and the speaker was not audible. We sat on the benches designated for passengers. Unfortunately, we had no idea that we needed to disembark and only found out when the boat turned around and headed back to Durnstein. I was very upset and demanded an explanation or compensation in the form of a refund of the fare. No one wanted to talk to us, they either shrugged their shoulders, or they didn't speak English, or they preferred to go where I had no access. It was the last possible ride that day and the train on google maps showed a journey of over three hours. We had already covered more than 30 kilometers with the kids, and I didn't want to take another long bike ride with them. I have to say that I am very disappointed with how the boat crew handled the whole thing. Mostly though, the fact that we were not given a major infrmation and the worker let me and the three kids ride back and forth without at least saying sorry. I travel very often and in many countries around the world and I have never experienced such an amateurish manner and behaviour towards customers.
The story continues. I contacted the company to request a refund. Everything was denied on the grounds that we were informed of the transfer, although this is a lie. So this is how a company behaves after making a mistake and causing major problems for a father of three dětmi🤷♀️"

"Sailed with the DDSG MS Dürnstein from Melk to Krems today. All very well organised... Smooth ride and an excellent 3 course "Captain's Table Menu" at the restaurant. Would have been a treat even in a high priced restaurant. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable! Definitely coming back with friends!!"
