What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Uluru camel tours for their spectacular views, especially during sunrise and sunset. The guides are often highlighted for their knowledge and personable nature, and the camels are described as tame and well-introduced. The post-ride snacks, particularly the fresh damper bread, are a delightful bonus. However, some concerns have been raised by animal welfare groups regarding the treatment of the camels.
"This was an absolutely spectacular experience. The guides did a wonderful job of introducing each camel by name and sharing their personalities, which created a genuine sense of connection. I especially enjoyed spending time with Quart Pot and Golden Nugget, and the sunrise view with the camel train was simply unforgettable.
The breakfast bread was also delicious.
Many thanks to all the staff and, of course, the camels!🐪 🌅💛"

"We took a sunset tour on Sept. 29, 2025. I was excited, and lost 21 pounds going into the trip to be sure that I could ride. We got a camel named Doc, who was perfectly steady and capable. The tour was much longer than we expected. The height of the camels was surprising, although it shouldn't have been.
Our guide Arnold picked us up at our hotel, and was so personable and knowledgeable, he really upped the experience from fantastic to superb.
We didn't expect to return to the farm to a lovely spread of nibbles, including some of the best bread I've ever had, piping hot from the oven. They had a lovely store, and I purchased a wonderful children's book titled The Camel Who Had The Hump by Rachel Bright and illustrated by Jim Field. I'd have bought much more, it was so tempting, but I had to pace myself.
In a nutshell, you have to do this tour! It's amazing, riding the camels are an experience you'll not soon forget, and the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable."

"Had a great time on the sunset tour. Our camel Rusty was great, as were all the staff and guides.
Though it was a large group in total, it didn't feel like you were with that many people once on your camel and enjoying the views.
Worth the money and a fun activity. The drinks and snacks after was a nice touch.
Museum was interesting to have a look at while there.
We self drove to the farm so could leave whenever we liked afterwards."
