📍 Stockyard Gully Caves, WA This 300m cave was used as a cool holding pen for cattle along the stock route from Geraldton to Perth. It was pretty awesome - the whole bottom of the cave was super soft beachy sand, and the gully entry on both sides was an green oasis of trees. Definitely worth a stop over if you’re heading north of Perth. #outofoffice #vinnysvanlife #stockyardgullycaves #national...

"Went after rain. Hard, wet walk on sometimes unmarked paths (usually path is up dry creek bed)
Had to clamber up rocks to avoid wet feet. Still got wet though!!
Inside cave was earlier, definitely need torches.b

Amazing history about the cave so read up prior to visiting.
Road into area strict 4WD With high clearance. No Subarus here......you will lose your sump for sure.
Soft sand under tread with high central banks. Narrow sections that allow the bushes to kiss your ducco....
Go early as the traffic on 4WD track can be busy.
We went at 8.30 am had the cave, road to ourselves
Amazing bees nests/honeycomb and wasps nests too."

You can only get in there in a 4wd it is very sandy would not go if it had been raining to much. Well worth the drive but don't forget you touch you will need one."

"Amazing spot especially after the rain, we did have to take our shoes off to walk through but the water was lovely, fresh and softly flowing.
Take a torch 🔦"
