"Mega cool lookout with an absolutely stunning view at sunset. No matter what time of year it is, the sunset will be visible on the vast horizon west of this lookout. It's clear of trees where the sun sets as well.
Slightly small but with three benches and bins it's one of the better equipped lookouts at Mount Tamborine. Plenty of parking and on a slip road too so very safe.
10/10 would recommend this lookout. An absolute hidden gem of Tamborine and I would say it is the superior alternative to the massive hang glider hill lookout just down the road."

Capturing the Perfect Sunset
For photographers, this is a prime location. Consider bringing a tripod for sharper images, especially as the light fades. Experiment with different compositions, focusing on the expansive sky and the silhouettes of the landscape. The 'golden hour' light here is particularly beautiful, casting a warm glow over everything.
Stargazing and Astrophotography
When planning a stargazing trip, check the moon phase; a new moon will provide the darkest skies for optimal viewing and photography. Bring a headlamp with a red light setting to preserve your night vision, and ensure your camera is set up on a stable tripod. The lack of car headlights turning up, as mentioned by a photographer seeking a quiet spot, adds to its appeal for serious stargazers.
