Reviews Summary

Reviews for the Downing Centre Local Court are mixed, with praise for the helpfulness of some administrative staff and the availability of free legal advice on Level 5. However, some visitors report negative experiences with staff attitudes on other levels. Judges are generally perceived as fair, and the facilities are described as spacious and clean.

"The staff in the dust department are always wonderful, I never have any issues with them, and they are always friendly and approachable. However, the staff at level 4 are always unhappy and talk to you with horrible attitude. Out of the 10 times I have had to deal with them there has only been one kind man who helped me with printing with a friendly attitude, the rest are horrible. If you dislike your job then leave, you are making people feel uncomfortable in an already daunting place."

"The downing centre courts are great. I have been sentenced in the local and district courts on a a number of occasions, the judges are really fair and love a good sob story.

Couldn’t recommend them any more,"
