What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Granite Belt Brewery offers a beautiful setting with a tranquil pond and charming log cabin accommodation, making it a popular choice for getaways. Visitors consistently praise the quality of their craft beers and the scenic, dog-friendly environment. However, some recent reviews point to inconsistencies in service and food quality, with occasional abruptness from staff and disappointing meal presentations, contrasting with earlier positive experiences.
"Brought my dog up here for a short getaway mid week. Dog friendly accommodation with a secure yard. Beautiful scenery and wildlife with great spots to go on walks. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Came early in the week so the kitchen wasn't fully running but the frozen chef meals provided were still great. Excellent beers. My dog subsequently passed a few weeks later but this place gave both him and me some wonderful memories."

"We used to love going here about two years ago. Great service, great food, great beers. I'm not sure what's happened in the last few months but our last 2 or 3 visits have been so disappointing. The waitresses seem bored and unhappy, it feels like you're annoying them when you ask for a table. Today our food was served in a cardboard box on top of a plate. Cold, flacid chips and what appeared to be microwaved nachos. Unfortunately this is our last visit there which is a shame because it is a beautiful spot with great beers. Do not recommend if hungry. If you're visiting Stanthorpe, go to Balancing Heart instead."

"Good beer, great location but less atmosphere than Mars. Was told pet friendly but curtly told off when trying to take dog through to Brewery, had to go the long way round to outside deck. Deck looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, very shabby. Inside Brewery was nice but again the serving staff was abrupt and we basically got told off for being at the wrong part of the bar. Ordered a beer paddle, no comment from staff on the various choices so winged it off the notes. Sat on the deck, sampled the beers and promptly left. Could be so much better."
