What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Penrose Park for its spacious, flat campsites and friendly, accommodating staff, making it a great base for exploring Silverton. The clean showers and proximity to town are highlights. However, some guests noted that the laundry facilities could use an upgrade and the general cleanliness of some amenities could be improved.
"We had a powered camp site booked. I arrived with a cracked rib which was making getting out of my swag problematic. My mates camped but when I asked the host, a top fella, was able to help me get into a cabin. I really appreciate this act of genuine customer service, and just decent human behaviour!!"
Fred Flinstone
"Beautiful spot to camp for an unpowered site. Had HEAPS of room to choose from. Sites were all 99% flat which made setting up camp for all kinds of set up super easy! Fire pits available if you choose to want to have a fire. Amenities are really clean and comfortable to use. It was very nice to have a hot shower after being on the road for a couple weeks in the outback. Staff were very friendly and took care of us!
If you wanted to explore the area this it the place to stay!"
Jess Fleming
"Laundry is terrible. 3 ancient top loading machines and only 1 works. Bring your $1 coins. The floor of both the laundry and showers is dirty as are the shower curtains. No water at the basins as the water can't be used. The sites are great - sizeable and flat which brings my rating to 3 stars."
