The owner and creative mind behind the project Margret is very friendly and told me more about the sculpture trail and how it all started. It was great to have the map and I went on a small koala hunt myself. I think it’s very much fun to do this as a family with your kids, but I also really enjoyed this by myself as a solo-traveller from overseas. Unfortunately didn’t find all 91 sculptures, but the koala’s definitely brightened up my stay in Port Macquarie!"

"I highly recommend anyone travelling around Port Macquarie to visit the shop. The shop has a good selection of quality souvenirs and a room displaying a collection of Hello Koala sculptures. The proceeds from the shop will also go to koala conservation projects, so I really don’t understand why anyone would leave a bad review. I think those who did are looking for some kind of touristy experience and mass-produced junk? Nevertheless, If you love Koalas and want to support koala conservation, please support the shop."
