With the Powerhouse relocating here, it’s yet another highlight for the community. The choice of location, right next to the river in a prime spot, is interesting—especially since there are other sites in Parramatta that could have worked just as well. The decision to demolish a heritage house to make way for the museum raised concerns, and I’m still waiting to see if they will fulfill their promise to rebuild the house, brick by brick, as they said. Once complete, the museum will be a fantastic destination for kids and school groups to explore science and history. Though the construction is still underway, the steel structure is impressive. If it’s anything like the Powerhouse in the city, it will definitely be worth the visit."
