What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Para Wirra for its dog-friendly policy, making it a top choice for pet owners. The park offers historical insights into the Barossa gold fields and beautiful wildflower displays. While hiking and camping are popular, some find the parking fee a bit steep.
"You got to buy tickets online at the gate at least. Inside there is no signal from any of the service providers. Home to Barrossa gold fields, you can learn the harsh life in the late 1800s when the area was drilled for gold. The display at the entrance to the track snd the many labelled wild flowers are a bonus for the visitors. Mine shafts everywhere so keep to the assigned trail."
Ran Path
"Great place to hike several mark paths and unmark trails, sealed roads through park, bbq in specific areas."
Kay Hamilton
"Good place to go camping which isn't too far away. This place allows you to take your dog so we tend to go here over other parks like deep creek where you can't take your dog, so A+ for allowing dogs. Good trail of bushwalks & a good place to try & spot wildlife."
