"Was visiting family recently in Orange and it would be rude not to visit a winery, especially when Philip Shaw was only a 1km or so from their house….no brainer really!
We arrived about an hour or so before closing and the kids had been in and out of the car all day as we took our time to arrive from Sydney so a sit down tasting flight wasn’t really an option for us but it did look like an awesome set up inside by the fire.
We instead grabbed a few glasses of wine and enjoyed what was left of the winter sun in the garden so the kids could blow off some steam while we enjoyed our wine. It’s an awesome space with a mini football pitch to keep the kids entertained and active.
Only thing missing was an outdoor fire as it did start to get really cold as that sun dipped behind the mountains.
We grabbed a couple of bottles to takeaway for dinner which were bloody good.
Well worth a stop if you’re in the area."
