What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the pleasant, well-maintained hike to Porcupine Rocks, often highlighting the beautiful views and the peaceful, uncrowded atmosphere. However, a significant drawback is the frequent and sometimes poorly communicated trail closures due to hunting or maintenance, which can lead to disappointment.
"Incredibly disappointing for 99% of all trails and hiking areas to be closed for 2 weeks for hunting.
Happy to take your money to enter the park, with kiosk attendants able to advise you on areas of the park that are open, only to arrive at multiple sites for them to be very clearly shut.
Baffled as to why so much of the area has to be shut for 2 weeks. Given the scale of the park surely this could be broken up, giving tourists whom have travelled very far to get here, the opportunity to at least explore a few of the trails.
Information on closed areas incredibly hard to access. So much so that the people who work for the park themselves cannot accurately advise.
NSW needs to do better."

"The National Parks and their contractors are fixing up the walkways which look fantastic and will be great when complete. I would suggest taking plenty of water and some Aeroguard as the March flies are deadly."
