"This property is unfortunately not better than a basic 2 star motel.
The stay started on a strange note with an awkward check in. I was asked for my credit card “just in case you cause damage to the room”, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. I was then given one key card for a two person stay, and when I asked for a second, I was told “we normally only give one key for a one night stay”. After insisting, I received a second key but was warned there would be a $20 charge if it wasn’t returned at checkout.
When we opened the door to the room, it felt like stepping back into the 1970s, but not in a charming or retro way. The room was spacious but extremely dated, and we were instantly hit with a strong odour coming from the bathroom. It smelled like a mix of dirty mop water and bleach. We had to open all the windows and leave the room to air it out.
When I went for a shower, there was barely any water pressure and the only toiletries provided were a cheap 3 in 1 shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, which didn’t help the experience.
Later, when I needed to iron a shirt, I found an ironing board but no iron. A laminated sign stuck to the cupboard with blu tack said to contact reception to request one, which just felt like another unnecessary inconvenience for guests.
If you opt for a large double bed, you will get 2 singles pushed together, without a mattress topper or comforter, so you end up with this hard bit in the middle which is obviously very uncomfortable.
Overall, the experience was disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend staying here."

"Organised a two night stay with my son which included 2 rounds of golf. We checked in with inviting staff. The room was backing onto the golf course and was clean and newly renovated. We ate at the restaurant the first night and had amazing meals. Should have also eaten the second night after an average meal in town. I had the Murray Cod which was just perfect. Service in the restaurant and general staff was impeccable. As for the golf. Wow, we had two amazing days on both courses. Picture perfect holes throughout the courses. Highly recommend for golfers or just people wanting a great meal. Loved everything about our stay and cannot wait to return. It is a place I could return to time and time again. Loved it."

We booked a table for four and upon arrival were promptly shown to our table. We ordered both entrées and mains at the same time. Only one entrée arrived initially, and after a noticeable delay, the second entrée was served. Before either entrée had been finished, two of the main meals were then brought out. The remaining two mains did not arrive until approximately twenty minutes later.
During this time, our friends had to begin eating their meals and were almost finished by the time ours were delivered, which was disappointing and not what we expected when dining as a group.
Additionally, there was a serious error with the meal preparation. I ordered rib eye with mushroom sauce due to my pepper allergy, and my husband ordered green pepper sauce. However, the sauces were served incorrectly. I received the peppercorn sauce, and my husband received the mushroom sauce. After taking my first bite, I immediately recognised I had been given pepper sauce, which could have resulted in a dangerous allergic reaction.
After finishing our meals, we raised these concerns with Vanessa, who advised she was the manager. Unfortunately, the interaction left us extremely dissatisfied. Her response was condescending and abrupt, and rather than acknowledging the issues, she placed blame on us, stating we should have advised that we wished to eat together. Given that we were seated at the same table, ordered together, and were clearly dining as a group, we found this response unreasonable and dismissive.
We feel it is important to bring this to your attention, particularly regarding allergy care, communication, and customer service standards.
