What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the panoramic views of Wagga Wagga and the unique artwork on the water tank. The well-maintained walking trails in the reserve are also a highlight for those seeking activity. However, some find the trees can obstruct the view, and the lack of facilities like toilets and picnic areas is a drawback.
"Been wanting to do this for ages. It is well worth it. big challenging climb from Lord Baden Powell Drive onto Captain Cook Drive over to Stanley Street/Leavenworth Drive. But the scenery in the early morning makes it worthwhile. :)"
Railspotter80s
"Excellent art work on the large water tank at the top of the hill on Captain Cook Drive, Wagga Wagga. The views are great but could be better if the trees were trimmed or thinned. No facilities/toilets. Quite steep up and decent down so wouldn't take caravan up there. While in Wagga Wagga, we're staying at Wilks Park which has toilets with great art work on them too. Loads of people stay here. Water available and dump point also here plus your furbabies (dogs) are also welcome."
Keith Trotter
"No facilities like picnic areas, toilets, lawns or BBQ shelters. Only a ruined, vandalised structure covered in graffiti. There is no good viewpoint to see between or over the trees. This is unfortunately a missed opportunity to make a beautiful scenic place."
