What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise Moore Park and the Entertainment Quarter for its diverse attractions, from immersive gaming experiences like Battlekart to digital art exhibitions. The variety of dining options is also a significant draw. However, parking and exiting the area, especially during events, is a recurring point of frustration for many.
"We’ve been coming to the Entertainment Quarter for years and it never disappoints. There’s always something happening and the kids are never bored — which is a win in itself! The other day we hit up Hyper Karting, then went bowling, and finished with dinner at El Camino. It was a perfect day out. Great food, fun activities, and a lively atmosphere every time. It’s become a regular spot for us and we always leave with smiles on our faces.
Parking is always great never have a problem. Atmosphere is sensational. Will always keep coming back."

"Great place to bring kids for activities especially the Plastered Unicorn art and craft studio. So great to have an activity for kids that inspires imagination and creativity in a calming environment. Lots of great food and drink options in the precinct as well."

"Located at Lang Road, Moore Park, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺
A great place to come to before a game or concert or just to catch up with friends. There’s two cinemas to choose from (Hoyts and Palace) and there’s a Ten Pin Bowling (Strike). There’s numerous restaurants and cafes to choose from and at the moment you can see the Cirque Du Soleil (Luzia) which is under the large Circus Tent on the grass. It’s definitely worth seeing. Every Wednesday and Saturday from 8.00am to 2.00pm there’s the EQ Markets which sells everything from flowers, food, groceries and arts/crafts. There’s ample seating to sit and relax. There’s a parking 🅿️ station just behind the Entertainment Quarter but it’s paid. You can get here by public transportation, I got the light rail 🚈 from Central Railway 🚃 Station. I will say there is not a lot of toilets available. You have to go hunting. It’s very popular before and after a football game at the stadium. It’s definitely worth a visit. Thumbs Up 👍👍👍👍"

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
When planning a visit with children, consider the parking situation carefully. As many reviews highlight, exiting car parks after events can be a significant challenge. Opting for the light rail or arriving well before any scheduled events is highly recommended to avoid meltdowns caused by long waits. Pack snacks and drinks, as while there are dining options, having your own can be convenient for younger children.
🚗 Budget Travelers
Transport is where significant savings can be made. Instead of paying for potentially expensive and time-consuming parking at the EQ, consider using public transport. Parking further out in the CBD or at locations like Royal Randwick and then taking the light rail can be more economical and less stressful. Some Reddit users also mention finding free street parking if you're willing to walk a bit further.
🎮 Gamers & Thrill-Seekers
Beyond Battlekart, the vibrant atmosphere of the Entertainment Quarter itself can be appealing. With a cinema complex and various dining options, it's a place where you can spend hours enjoying entertainment. While not as high-octane as Battlekart, the overall energy of the precinct, especially on event nights, adds to the excitement.
