What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Glenelg tram is a beloved and convenient way to reach Adelaide's popular seaside suburb. Visitors praise its scenic route and direct access to the beach and Jetty Road. However, ongoing infrastructure upgrades can sometimes lead to disruptions, requiring travelers to check for replacement bus services.
"This was my first City to Bay (Adelaide) and I trained for months to be able to jog the 12 km. The 'collect your bib', in the CBD, was tricky to find a park. Although the line was very long, it was going smoothly.
On race day, I took the train and was early at the starting point. Oh my, then the selfish, entitled, pretty and young latecomers "jumped the queue" by climbing over the rails. There was no stopping them, happily laughing about their cheat.
The race was well-organised, roads closed and water points and toilets on the way. There were NO distance markers, which was a disappointment.
As expected with a run this size, the finish was chaotic, with no clear way to go. Nevertheless, this was my first and last."

"Great event!
However, my finishing time wasn't registered- volunteer was distracted and turned away when I asked to scan again !
Anyway - great day again!
Adelaide's biggest event !
See you again next year!"
