What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Baldrys Crossing for its beautiful natural bushland and diverse walking tracks, offering customizable hikes from short strolls to longer treks. The creek-side paths and potential for coastal views are highlights, with the added bonus of horse-friendly facilities. However, the lack of public toilets and the need to stay on marked trails due to fungus concerns are noted drawbacks.
"From Baldrys Picnic Spot area, cross across the road and walk along the creek to start a really great walk to Bushrangers carpark, about 2 hours and then if you like another 2 hours plus minus to Cape Schanck. This po art is really nice as you will go through Banksia forest and have great coastal views.
Enjoy"

"A beautiful roadside picnic area with a table, somewhere to park the car and a public holding yard to fence your horses while you relax. There's no public toilet and I don't remember seeing the little hot plate for bbq, which used to be there. (Maybe I overlooked it.) There's a river at one end of the car park and across the road a decent walk alongside the river, into Green's Bush. I'm easily disoriented, but take note of where you're going when there's another track that joins the one you're on. Don't venture of the track because there is a fungus that Parks are trying to control and it spreads from the bottom of our shoes when we step on the invisible spores, which are off the track. Points of interest are on the big noticeboard near the start of the walk - this is the last remaining natural bushland on the mornington Peninsula."

"A walk i would recommend. Nice ferns / trees / plants around. Several different paths to take that connect with other larger walks."
