"We stayed at the King Reef Resort for a family function.
The service of staff both at the resort and hotel was impeccable.
Our room had a faulty air conditioner. We were given another room for that night. They got an electrician out early the following morning to fix it. We were back in our original room, before 10am that day. They also refunded us for the room that had the issue.
I cannot fault the staff or management of this resort.
It was an absolute pleasure staying there, and I would highly recommend.
PS: The pub was fantastic. Food was ok, service was great and the staff were awesome!."

"We checked in today for a night on our way back home to Townsville with our kids. The initial service at check in was so friendly and welcoming, and the spot we were placed initially SEEMED perfect, with a nice concrete slab, close to amenities, and only a few short steps to the beach. We then booked a table for dinner at the bistro, where the excellence continued. The service from staff was exceptional, however the chicken schnitty was the highlight. As someone who’s worked in pubs for many years my expectations of the classic pub staple are high.. and they certainly delivered. A handmade, juicy and tender chicken schnitty, with golden chips, a delicious salad, and tasty gravy was delivered to my table. Couldn’t fault the meal at all and I was blown away.. and I’m a tough critic.
Unfortunately we were placed at site 26, right under a huge tree with lots of seeds.
Throughout the entire night birds and bats were dropping seeds and poo onto the roof of our van and car consequently making lots of noise (especially from the seeds - it would very loud) and keeping us awake the entire night, making us extremely tired for the drive home in the morning. The van next to us also expressed their disappointment in their spot being covered in crap from the tree. Would have preferred them tell us nothing was available, the spot was horrendous, I don’t understand how this is even a spot, save your 50 bucks if this is what they offer you."
