What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Queens Park Ipswich for its beautiful gardens, family-friendly Nature Centre, and excellent playgrounds, making it a wonderful free activity. The cafe also receives high marks for its food and service. Some areas, like the Lions Lookout, are noted as needing updates, but the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, especially during jacaranda season.
"We visited early on a Friday morning around 5:30am to photograph the full jacaranda blooms. The area was practically empty at that time, which made it perfect for peaceful photography.
The Lions Lookout itself feels a bit outdated and could definitely use some renovation. Some of the signage also looks worn and could be refreshed. It’s a small park overall, and we wouldn’t make a special trip just to visit—except during jacaranda season when it’s truly worth it."

"I was looking for a place to go for a walk after lunch. And this place was suggested to me a while ago. I was surprised to find an area, that had animals and birds on display. And this definitely made my walk a lot more relaxing, and enjoyable. There is a playground forchildren, and plenty of parkland to enjoy picnic. A very enjoyable experience"
