"We had a beautiful clear night for visiting Dubbo Observatory. Friendly staff, very welcoming. A small selection of items and postcards available for purchase as a souvenir.
A talk given while scopes were being set up was outside, rather than in their small theatrette. I personally would have held talk inside sitting down before going outside to point out astronomical highlights, as it was a long time to be standing about..
Witnessed with the naked eye at least two satellites and two shooting stars during our session, which we were thrilled to see. A great time was had by all.
Would recommend if you are interested in our universe. Best time to go would be a clear night with no moon."

Peter and Jane are such a great team, making star gazing accessible and interactive. The session included a presentation which taught me so much, followed by the opportunity to view a wide variety of outer space landscapes.
It was really special opportunity, set against the soundtrack of the distant sounds of the zoo.
Suitable for kids old enough to understand not to touch the telescopes :)
