These beautiful horses haven’t been out for ages but they did such a great ride after the rain . Yesterday, we attended the school holiday horsemanship program at SS Equine with Sarah, Dougal and their wonderful team of horse handlers and horses.
We got straight in and learnt from the get go about horses, how to care for horses, how to check the horse prior to riding, horse grooming and handling, walking, jumping, feeding, communicating with horses, horse body language, popping blankets off and on a horse and so much more.
It’s a wonderful afternoon program for you and the kids/family to learn new skills in a wonderful safe and supportive environment.
I would highly recommend you all get in contact and book a session with SS Equine. Check out the full list of services provided. There is something for everyone.

Miss Emily was fantastic. She’s so friendly, calm, and clearly very experienced. Her instructions were clear and supportive, which made us feel completely at ease.
Sarah and Dougal were equally lovely—down-to-earth, warm, and happy to share their knowledge and the inspiring story behind SS Equine. You can really feel the passion and care they have for the horses and the people who visit.
We loved it so much that I came back the following week with my older child to do a different course, and that was just as special. Each visit feels unique and has sparked a real love for horses in our family.
