What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Jubilee Lake for its beautiful, peaceful atmosphere and scenic walking trails, highlighting the diverse birdlife and pleasant environment. The lake is considered a lovely spot for families, with a great playground and boating options. While generally well-loved, some mention it can get crowded on weekends and advise caution regarding snakes on warm days.
"Visiting Lake Jubilee early one morning we were treated to a mist rising from the water and a crisp clean walking environment all on a postcard perfect day. Just a few minutes from the heart of Daylesford you will find this beautiful lake with several amenities close by, including barbecue facilities, walking trails, canoe and paddle boat hire, a playground, caravan park, and café and kiosk. I was even told that they stock the lake with Rainbow trout a couple of times a year so remember to bring your fishing line too. Originally this lake was known as the Hepburn Goldfields Reservoir as it was the main source of water for the miners back in the mid 1850’s. I bet those miners would get a shock to see it today. Well worth a visit."
