Bagnalls Beach Reserve is overwhelmingly loved for its stunning natural beauty, pristine white sand, and crystal-clear waters. It's particularly celebrated as an exceptional off-leash dog beach, offering freedom and joy for pets and their owners. While some note the seagrass beds at low tide, the overall experience is highly recommended for its natural charm and wildlife encounters.
"The best off leash dog walking area I have ever experienced. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia. I love how the native flora has been left and it lines the beach. There are huge eucalyptus, banksias, and wattles. The trees provide the most wonderful shade. They are full of Australia's gorgeous birdlife. The sand is fine, soft and white. The water is crystal clear, the colours amazing. Black swans and dolphins were there almost every time I visited. Low tide or high, this is a gorgeous part of Australia's coastline. This beach is definitely worth a visit and a stroll along the foreshore if you love dogs. Huge thank you to the Port Stephens council for being environmentally aware and keeping this area so pristine. Thank you too, to every residence who obviously also do their part to make this area magical for visitors like myself. Thank you!!"

"Well as dogowner I am in heaven.
Best beach ever long flat dogies can run and have fun.
Good carparking 2 toilet blocks.
Playground, park, Gas BBQ area.
Walk the beach 45 min and you can use the path behind the beach (shared cyclepath) on the way back when its to hot . Also its worth it just for its beauty of old gums and lots of birdlife.
Great place to vist, especially if you like doggies, because of the of leash beach.
Good for swimm on high tide as the water goes back long way on low tide and lots if seagrass beds.
Over all highly recommended."
