"We went to the dog friendly section, set up a canopy for shade high recommend and had our two little dogs with us. They loved it, very social beach for dogs and they enjoyed engaging with many others dogs. The water was warm (March) and the rolling waves were great for body surfing. The sand feels like silk. There's no toilets or shops where we were, so I suggest bring snacks, lunch and drinks with you."
Poodle Quartet
"An expansive and stunning beach where you can take your dog off leash. The water is beautiful and very clear for the most part and the tide goes out quite far which really opens the beach up. Several parking areas and lots of beach to walk along. There's also some shaded areas on the bank which are great, although mostly limited shade on this beach. Definitely one of the better beaches in Byron Bay where you can take your dog."
