What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Burnie Farmers Market for its incredibly fresh produce and delicious homemade goods, highlighting the value of supporting local farmers and artisans. While some note that stall numbers can vary, the friendly atmosphere and unique finds make it a worthwhile destination for fresh food and handcrafted items.
"I love this market so much I've recently started a stall here! Love how enjoyable it is to shop here; the cooking is to die for and the veggies so much fresher than the supermarket. Love supporting local farmers and families! The stall holders always remember my children, have a chat, and it's a nice place to have a cuppa at a reasonable price. Great to be able to buy grocery essentials and craft/household/gift items in the one place."

"There's wasn't a great deal of stalls there on the week I weng but this may have been due to the fact the Burnie show was also on that weekend. The market stall holders were friendly , there is some interesting bits and bobs but I myself am mostly interested in the plants and fresh produce so I will be back for another look on a more busy weekend ."

"Bargains galore here to be found. And if you like home made stuff, then you're going to be in heaven. I love this little market. Best butcher in Burnie goes here and he sells some fantastic snags. The Zuchinni chutney I got from there was delicious too. Going back to get some more because frankly, I can't do without it. What's not to like about a bunch of hard working farmers coming together to sell their produce which is fresher than the stuff you get at the grocery store?
And yams! They had yams! Never had them before in my life and now I want more. Plants, second-hand stuff, knitted stuff, hand made sauces, chutneys and cakes and cookies... and... and... oh, free parking! You can do all your veggie and meat shopping here. And eggs. You can get eggs. Yes, I love this market and more people should be made aware of it. Our hard working farmers in the region could do with local support."
