"A hidden gem less than 30 mins from the city. The secret is to visit after rainy season when the river is really flowing. This place has stunning views. Plenty of parking available although it is all on mud. The end road bit is also not sealed and can be very narrow at a few points.
There were literally hundreds of cars and people when we visited on a sunny winter Saturday in August. It is a beautiful place for a picnic or for just strolling around while enjoying nature.
Toilets are available. There was also a ice cream truck and a fresh juice etc truck on site.
Overall a great day out and a highly recommended place when the river is flowing."

Best Times for a Visit
