"We had a fabulous day today at Billabong Parklands.
Lovely clean facilities .
Louisa is amazing at the front office couldn’t say the same for one of the two men checking bags - very pushy and not friendly at all.
Otherwise we really enjoyed our day - three families in our party and our hut hire was easy with Louisa so glad we got one now.
We will definately be back and recomending Billabong to our friends and family ."

"Great place for kids to play water. They have 2 big pools too that will open this summer, together with food trucks and permanent canteen. During summer will have some performance too. Excited to see this.
Overall great park, clean, great amenities and facilities. Plenty of toilets changing room shower area etc. 👍"

"Really good initiative to make these type of swimming areas. Currently it's free but still requires a ticket which you can get online for free. There's not too much shade but you can bring your own but be sure to check the rules online.
I went when it was no longer school holidays but it wasn't too busy but I really liked the design of this parkland. The swimming area was nice. There was two pools and super shallow one and a sorta deep one. Nice to frolic around in."

The Making of a Man-Made Oasis
The parklands were conceived to offer a refreshing escape, particularly during the warmer months. Its design emphasizes natural elements and water-based activities, making it a popular spot for families seeking outdoor fun. The inclusion of amenities like picnic spots, BBQs, and clean facilities enhances the overall visitor experience, positioning it as a key attraction in the region.
While the parklands are a relatively new addition, they have quickly become a talking point, with many praising the innovative design and the provision of free, accessible water play. The ongoing development and seasonal additions, such as performances during summer, suggest a commitment to making this a dynamic and engaging destination.
Navigating the Water Play
Beyond the splash zone, the park boasts two distinct pools. A shallow junior pool is perfect for toddlers and very young children, offering a safe and contained environment for them to splash around. For those seeking a more substantial swim, a deeper, Olympic-sized lagoon provides ample space for swimming laps or simply cooling off on a hot day.
Visitors often highlight the cleanliness of the facilities and the well-maintained water areas. However, it's worth noting that during peak times, these areas can become quite busy, so arriving early is recommended to make the most of them.
