"The short walk is from the Murray bay carpark . It’s about 350m up a lot of stairs . But you can do it as part of a longer track which takes you from Horseshoe bay via Rotary lookout and you can go all the way to rose bay as well. Not too difficult for moderate fitness. There is a sign that says level 4 but I wonder if that’s left over from before they put concrete steps in . Views from the top are stunning."
