Reviews Summary

North Bondi Beach is praised for its local charm and relaxed atmosphere, offering free BBQ facilities and kids' pools. While it's a beautiful spot, visitors should be prepared for strong sun and potentially busy conditions on holidays. Some find the dining and retail scene less vibrant than central Bondi.

"North Bondi Beach ⛱️ has a free BBQ, s the only BBQ facilities on Bondi Beach, plus 2 kids swimming pools North Bondi is considered the "locals" part of the Bondi Beach area. Perched on a hill overlooking the Tasman Sea, it lacks the tourists and Sydneysiders who flock to the beach in summer. This also means that it's not as bustling a retail and dining scene as Bondi Beach, but it still offers a good selection of cafes and restaurants. North Bondi Beach is a few minutes walk away from Ben buckler shopping village."

"Bring sunscreen!👀 We went unprepared and got a bit too much color. There are plenty of shops to purchase towels and mats nearby. (We didn't think about sunscreen🙄) Just up the street you can purchase surf lessons if you're into that. It was a lovely beach that wasn't too crowded on this spring day."

Jessie W.

"A nice spot to relax on the beach or splash around in the waves. We went on Christmas Day and it was busy but that was to be expected, but there was still plenty of space to chill out.

Obviously a popular tourist spot but if you're visiting Sydney, Bondi beach is something you can tick off your list.

The water was a bit chilly but once we'd been in it for a bit it wasn't noticeable. It was also nice and clean when we went in, just the usual leaves, seaweed, etc. floating in the water.

You'll also find plenty of showers to wash the sand off, and shops and restaurants nearby too.

If you don't fancy walking back up the hill towards the city centre afterwards you can either opt for the 333 bus, or hire a Lime electric bike.

Bring your own parasol or gazebo if you're looking for a bit of shelter from the sun during your visit as the beach is very open."
