I guess that back in the day there was one tree, as the whole area was decimated for timer by the miners. So what we have now is regrowth, which kind of shows you just how strong nature is.

The One Tree Lookout most people theses days see more than one tree, in the 1850s it is written that there was just that one big tree grown out of the granite that could be seen from miles away!

So normally this would be a one star review. But the view from the look out (beyond the many trees) was something to really enjoy especially after the nice walk up from the power magazine.
So despite my disappointment over the arboreal abundance, it was a nice place to visit."
