It was established in 1972 and is regarded as one of the largest of its kind in the Sydney region, occupying over 8000 square metres. It is a lovely large rose garden in Sydney area. Maintained well by local council. Lots of rose varieties can be found. Popular place with locals, need to go early to avoid the heat. Uneven terrain, lot of walking. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Cafes and restaurants available nearby. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Toilets available nearby. Free entry. Parking is easy at car park and on streets off main roads. You can either drive here or take public transport. Great place for photography."

"One of Sydney's hidden treasures. And certainly one of, if not the best, rose garden in Sydney. A beautifully designed and inviting garden, meticulously maintained by the Hills Shire Council. There is a plethora of the most captivating roses. There are stunning mass plantings of amazing roses as Honey Perfume and Apricot Nectar. I have been coming here to photograph roses since 2010, and the park never disappoints.
If you want to see, and/or photograph a huge variety of roses, then this is your dream location in the heart of the Hills District."
