What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
De Palm Island Aruba offers a fun-filled day with unique wildlife encounters and water activities. While the all-inclusive nature is convenient, some visitors find the food quality average and the beach rocky. The cost is a consideration, but many feel the experience, especially the flamingos and water park, is worth it for a memorable Aruba day trip.
"Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. I got the upgrade to private seating by the flamingos which was definitely worth it. Private bar never had more than 1 person in line and there was a waitress if I wanted to stay in my chair."

"Was what we expected, lots of flamingos, coral island so coral beach, bring crocs or water shoes, buffet was ok, hamburger stand was ok, burgers were sub-par, definitely not ground beef. Most of the Staff was not happy to be working, little to no communication with the guests. Very few were interactive.. slide opened late but it did open eventually. Fee was $120 to get in. We parked at the ferry, no cost for that. Don't need to upgrade to see flamingos. Bana boat was fun, snorkeling was good. Drinks were included.. hope this helps someone"

"We spent a whole day here with our group. It’s not the best place to swim because the shores are so rocky and pebbly but there are plenty of lounge chairs. Drinks and food were included as part of the package. There was a snack bar as well as a buffet where you could sit down and eat. There’s a water park and also a kids water park for the younger ones. If you wanted, you could also reserve the VIP area with the flamingos. They also have snorkeling and banana boat riding."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
While the main beach can be rocky, the inclusion of food and drinks in the day pass makes it convenient for families. Consider bringing water shoes for the little ones to ensure comfortable beach play. The banana boat ride is also a hit with older children and teens looking for a bit of adventure.
💰 Budget Travelers
To maximize value, focus on the included activities like snorkeling, the water park, and beach access. If you're on a tighter budget, you might skip optional upgrades like private cabanas or specialized water activities like Sea Trek. Packing your own snacks and water bottles (if allowed) could also help reduce incidental costs, though drinks are generally plentiful.
📸 Couples & Photographers

Interacting with De Palm Island's Wildlife
It's important to remember that these are wild animals, and while De Palm Island facilitates close encounters, respecting their space and not feeding them is crucial for their well-being. The island's natural setting provides a glimpse into Aruba's diverse ecosystem, making it a memorable experience for nature lovers.
For those seeking more aquatic wildlife encounters, the snorkeling areas around De Palm Island offer opportunities to see various fish and marine life in their natural habitat. The coral beach provides a good starting point for exploring the underwater world.
Adventures on the Water
For a more adventurous aquatic experience, banana boat rides are a popular choice, offering a fun, albeit sometimes wet, journey across the waves. If you're interested in exploring beneath the surface, snorkeling is readily available, allowing you to discover the vibrant marine life that inhabits the waters surrounding the island. The coral beach is a good spot to start your underwater exploration.
De Palm Island also offers unique underwater experiences like Sea Trek and Snuba. Sea Trek allows you to walk on the seabed wearing a special helmet, while Snuba lets you breathe underwater with a regulator connected to a floating air supply. These activities provide a safe and accessible way to experience the underwater world without extensive training.
Planning Your Visit: Costs and Inclusions
However, it's worth noting that some experiences come at an additional cost. Interacting closely with the flamingos might require an upgrade to a VIP area, and activities like Sea Trek or Snuba are usually extra. Reviews suggest that while drinks are included, they can be watered down, and the quality of food, particularly burgers, might be average.
When considering the De Palm Island Aruba cost, weigh what's included against your desired activities. For those looking for a comprehensive experience with minimal extra spending, the all-inclusive package is often the best value. However, if you're primarily interested in a few specific activities, it might be more economical to assess individual costs.
