What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Rafael de Aguiar Popular Library as a beautiful, spacious, modern, and well-kept park, ideal for families and outdoor activities like running and cycling. Its clean environment and the unique jaguarundi sculpture are significant draws. However, some feel the car access detracts from its 'eco park' potential, especially on busy weekend afternoons.
"It's a beautiful place but there were many hundred cars all around the place. It mustn't be called eco parque. They shouldn't allow accès for cars beyond the first parking."
Wíllmer Hernandez Ariza
"Nice place"
Carlos Ponte
"It's an excellent place for physical activity, mainly running and mountain biking. The long loop is about 20km round trip. From the entrance of Aguiar Park onwards, it's all cinder, so you can't rollerblade or ride a triathlon or road bike. But you can on the other side of the waterfront. There's a lot of traffic on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, but it's great in the mornings. It has two fishing piers. There's a giant steel jaguarundi with lots of slides and things for children and adults alike. It's an excellent place to drink mate and stroll around. In summer, during siesta time, the area is a bit cooler because there aren't any large trees yet. Bring sunscreen."

Cycling and Running Routes
To make the most of your cycling or running experience, consider visiting during the early morning hours. This is when the park is at its most peaceful, with minimal traffic and a refreshing atmosphere. Weekday mornings are particularly recommended for an uninterrupted workout. Remember to bring water and wear appropriate gear, as the park is quite expansive.
Family Fun and Play Areas
Beyond the play area, the park's general ambiance is conducive to family outings. It's a safe and clean environment where families can relax, enjoy a picnic, or simply stroll around. The proximity to the city center (about 10 minutes from San Nicolás de los Arroyos) also makes it a convenient option for a day trip with the kids.
Relaxation and Socializing
While the park is beautiful year-round, it's worth noting that in summer, the area can get warm during the afternoon 'siesta' time, as large trees are still developing. Bringing sunscreen is advised for these periods. The park's spaciousness and clean environment contribute to its appeal as a place to de-stress, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a quiet moment outdoors.
