What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bodega Vistandes offers a modern architectural experience with beautiful vineyard and mountain views, and reasonably priced wine purchases. However, some visitors find the atmosphere sterile and the wine tasting service inconsistent, with mixed opinions on wine quality. It's a popular stop for bike tours but may not offer the most engaging experience for all.
"I booked a tour with Viator which included a visit to Vistandes Winery. Vistandes Winery is relatively new. Designed and built in the year 2006 by their owners, a family from Mendoza with more than thirty years of experience in agricultural activities. The architecture reminded me of a modern art museum. I had a guided tour of the winery so I could learn more about the phases of the winemaking process. I could see the vineyards as we drove there but unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we didn't go outside. The tour finished with a tasting of the different varietals, in a lovely room with access to the terraces and privileged views of the Andes. I sampled two red and two white wines. The red wines were of the Malbec variety which is Argentina's most important and world-renowned variety. Relaxing. Good quality wine. This was my first experience of wine tasting so it was difficult for me to compare. I had a good experience. You could purchase wines which were very reasonably priced."

"Welcoming but a sterile and plain environment. Wine was only $2.50 a glass and it was empty. Staff wasn’t overly inviting. Stopped here on our bike tour, probably wouldn’t return."
Kara Speck
"Modern, boutique winery that is less than 20 years old. Very beautiful, but not very fun. You cannot explore the outside with a guide, the place is packed with other tours and can get quite noisy. Wines were good."
