What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the authentic experience at Carmelo Patti, often highlighting the personal tours led by the passionate winemaker himself and the complimentary, high-quality wine tastings. While the winery's physical appearance is functional rather than grand, the exceptional taste of the wines and the educational value of the visit far outweigh any aesthetic shortcomings. It's a highly recommended stop for an intimate and genuine introduction to Mendoza's wine culture.
"This winery produces wonderful wine and the tour is very interesting and enjoyable. Often the owner, Carmelo, leads the tour but the day we visited he was busy driving a forklift as bottling operations were in progress. Instead his daughter led the tour, and her passion and knowledge of the subject were quite impressive.
The winery itself is physically not very nice. It is built for production not beauty, however the quality of the wine far exceeds the visual appeal of the location."
