"great walk up to the falls! Remember you can not drive in Cumbrecita so it is about a 45 min walk to the falls from outside of town. Totally worth it. We had our 6 year old with us and he loved climbing up the rocks. We took a 1/2 way break in town where there are lots of local foods and shops to grab a snack/water or just a break before headed up the falls. On the way home there was a bus that brought us back to where we parked the car which was nice after hiking and swimming all day. Highly recommend this area, it was gorgeous."

"It's not the most amazing waterfall but it's very pretty if you can get there early enough to avoid the crowds.
We were lucky enough to leave what was already a fairly crowded area just a few minutes before what I assume was a bus load of people. The viewing area was crowded with 10 people. I cannot imagine what it would have been like with the 50 people we saw heading there as we left.
But the waterfall was lovely, coming into a little pool at the bottom. I assume you could swim there if you didn't mind the cold water.
As for the trail, while it had some steeper parts and was a little tricky at times, it wasn't the death march that many have described. We're not spring chickens but managed it from the trail head in less than 30 minutes with minimal fuss. Getting down to the pool below was very steep however.
Do not confuse this with a different waterfall which is much further away and requires a long hike to get there. Tourist office do not mention that one. This one is on the map they give you."
