The well-maintained trail and informative guides are frequently highlighted as positives. Some find the final ascent steep, and adherence to strict entry and exit times is noted.

"Nice 1,5 km (one way) walking path up the hill. Only the last bit is more or less steep and a bit difficult to walk off you are not fully abled. Great view over the valley till the coast and Puerto Madryn.

Took me (fast walking) an hour to get there and back again.

3 p.m. is the last chance to start the path. You must be out at 5 p.m.

For only 1000 pesos as a foreigner totally worth it."

"Lovely hike through an open air paleontology museum. Adults cost 1,500 and kids cost 1,000. The posted opening time is 9:00, but this morning the actual opening time was 9:30. The last entry is 13:00, and you have to be out by 15:00. It took us 50 minutes to hike up (reading signs along the way) and 30 minutes to hike down."

Shaunda McNeill

"Interesting experience, you walk through layers ranging from 40 milion years ago at the valley bottom to 10000 years ago at the top of the cliffs. The staff is friendly and eager to give an in depth explanation of everything. It takes about 2 hours to do the entire trip, and some parts are quite steep."
