What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Lago Verde for its breathtaking natural beauty, particularly its unique emerald waters and serene atmosphere. The well-equipped campsites and opportunities for outdoor activities like boating and hiking are major highlights. Some find dining options limited and weather can be a factor in enjoyment.
"The best campsite in Los Alerces National Park. The lake is small and magical, ideal for exploring in small rowboats, including inflatables. It has the best changing rooms and showers of any campsite I've seen. It's advisable to have a reservation or arrive early, as there are a few sunny spots that aren't comfortable during the day. All sites have firepits with grills and lighting from dusk to midnight. The food is comprehensive, and the site has strict rules to prevent disturbing noise. Nothing beats waking up there, under the trees, having breakfast, reading, rowing on the lake, fishing, and preparing a fire for the night. It's a good idea to bring meat; you can buy it at the entrance to the National Park. There's a village with butcher shops, and along the route, there are some locals who often sell lamb. I recommend checking the weather, as when the temperature drops or it rains, you won't enjoy it as much. El Aura has a first-class restaurant and cafeteria that you can visit for a treat. And next door, just beyond the fence behind the employees' cottage, following a short path, there's another grocery store run by some locals who often make meals and have plenty of supplies. I recommend it. Don't forget the trip to the Millennial Alerzal Forest."
