What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently rave about the breathtaking panoramic views from Monk's Hill Fort, describing them as spectacular and well worth the hike. The historical significance of Fort George adds another layer of appeal, making it a highly recommended spot for its scenery and heritage.
"Monks Hill as I know this Scenic and imposing Hill as is rather important and central part of the St. Paul's Parish landscape. This Hill can be seen from various areas around the parish and if that's the case one can see many of these paces from the vantage point of the summit. This former Georgian Fort can be accessed from the Villages of Liberta, Falmouth and Cobbs Cross, there is a road leading from Cobbs Cross Village behind the Primary School (A rugged vehicle with a higher ground clearance is required, not necessarily 4WD).
Spectacular Scenic and Panoramic Views can be had from Hill itself (don't forget to stop and enjoy the views while ascending). The Nelson's Dockyard, The Falmouth Harbour and most of if not all of the National Park can be viewed from this vantage point, the view is a 360 degree view therefore other parts of Antigua can also be viewed from Monks Hill as well; Seatons, Parham, LIberta, Memora Bay, Buckleys and All Saints to name a few.
The Hike is rather pleasant and the scenic views are well worth the effort, The Fort George Monk's Hill National Park is a great addition to any itinerary."
